Love Panera. But this particular one, meh... One several occasions I've heard the manager yelling at his employees. One time the girl at the counter was trying to find a person who left their keys. The manager yelled at her to put the keys down, and the whoever owned the keys will find out they lost them sooner or later. Get to work. Another time i went, it wasn't crowded at all, and the girl at the counter completely messed up my order. I didn't know this until i got back to work, and i didn't have time to go and get it fixed. I absolutely love Panera, just not this one.

I have been to other Panera Breads before and simply loved their food and hospitality. I decided to go to Newtown Squares location. I was simply disappointed as soon as I walked in the door, the cashier looked miserable, and did not greet me at all, and when I asked him a couple questions he was unsure, after I finished ordering I went to go wait for my food, I said hello to the young lady at the counter and she did not respond, she also did not look happy to be there and while I waited I heard one of the other workers talk about some inappropriate topics. One of the managers came down to help the young lady and ignored me, and than I realized that the manager did not have any gloves on. That was chip off the iceberg, I did not feel welcomed at this location, I will be returning to the other Panera Breads. I will also be bringing my friends, with me, if I could give no stars I would but that was not an option.

I've had Panera Bread a few times over the years. I haven't bothered to Yelp them until now. Generally, I do enjoy their lunch sandwiches. I enjoy the soups. Occasionally we will take home some bagels and cream cheese, usually the sweeter bagels if we do. But I've never been loyal to them, or overly impressed for any reason. For some reason, whenever I think of Panera, overrated always pops into my mind. On a whim, I stopped in this location for breakfast. When I'm here, I usually drive past to go to Manhattan Bagel to get my breakfast sandwich. Today, I switched it up. So after a bacon, egg and cheese on a sesame bagel, and a large hazelnut coffee from Panera, I say it's not too bad. But I should have kept on driving. It wasn't that Panera was bad. It's just that for what I like, and for what I'm paying, Manhattan Bagel does that same sandwich much better, and even the coffee is better. Panera seems to smash the bagel sandwich in their sandwich maker to warm it up, when keeping the bagel intact and untouched is so much better. Panera coffee seemed to me to be slightly watered down. When competition 4 doors away does something better than you, what am I supposed to say? Panera is good, but will never be great. They look a lot better than what they are.

I was really excited when I heard that is Panera was going in, as I've had issues with the Panera in Lawrence Park Shopping Center, and the Panera in Springfield has a heinous parking lot. I have to say, they always forget my croutons for my Tomato soup, but then again, so do all of the others. The thing that I LOVE the best about this Panera is the fact that there's a manager expediting the food at the counter on the customer waiting side. This may not seem like a big deal, but I hate when the customers are all grouped up trying to figure out, "is this my sandwich, or is this yours?" The employees sometimes say your name so quickly, you're luckily if you get a hint of it at all. I really give them props for this and will continue to choose this location over the others!

Panera is one of those "chain" pseudo-fast food places that seems like it would be great - but the calorie and sodium counts on most dishes (except salads) are super high. The 1/2 order of pasta whas over 500 cals! That said, my 9 year old likes the mac & (gloppy white cheddar) cheese here. I had a shrimp salad that had 4 smal shrimp it it. Lunch for 2 was over $20 with NO DRINKS. Yikes! Kinda high for fast food, don't ya think? This place is new - only about 6 months old - so it is still very clean and seemingly well-run.

When I heard that they were building this place, I was super excited. If I wanted to go to Panera for my work lunch, I'd have to drive all the way to Lawrence Park Shopping Center. This location is much closer! The workers were pretty rough at first. Service was slow and they asked a zillion questions in an attempt to upsell. Now that this Panera has been open a while, the workers are much faster. Definitely a win!

LOL. Nothing has changed. When we want to order out and get a guarantee that the order will be messed up, we call here! After a dozen tries, still never 100%. It's become an in-joke. Recently, we placed a large order for a staff meeting and over the phone everything was fine. But when we went to pick up, they were "OUT OF" every soup, had no muffins, etc. and the customer service? They couldn't care less. Awesome. Newtown Square rocks as always.
